Give2Asia, an independent affiliate of The Asia Foundation, is a nonprofit organization that assists both donors and grantees in the flow of philanthropy to Asia. Getting Sites Built has been meeting their varied web needs for the last few years. Here are some examples of the work we have done for this organization.
Making The Map
Give2Asia had a great deal of web content that was not being visited. They wanted a graphic, visually engaging way of steering visitors to important country-specific information.
Getting Sites Built worked with their in-house designer to create a Flash solution. Now visitors are presented with an interactive map of asia. Simply clicking on the country of choice brings up the relevant content.
Custom Back-end Solution
As an active, high-flow, multi-page website, Give2Asia requires a great deal of content updating. From the beginning, Getting Sites Built recognized that the repetitive requests for updating could be eliminated by empowering the user with the appropriate set of tools. We created a custom dashboard to allow for easy content upkeep without the need to constantly go to the webmaster for repetitive tasks.

Responding To Emergencies
When a devastating earthquake hit Pakistan in 2005, Getting Sites Built was on hand immediately. Emergency content and functionality needed to be added to the website to support the outpouring of philanthropic aid for the disaster. Getting Sites Built quickly handled the content surge and created a solution to allow for the addition and subtraction of funds at a moment’s notice, making it easier for the user to respond to the next disaster.
Getting Sites Built also worked with supermodel Petra Nemkova to create happyheartsfund.org, which provides funding for the rebuilding of those areas impacted by the 2004 tsunami.
